Samantha Violinist
Samantha Luke is an Honours graduate of the University of Western Ontario. She earned a Bachelor of Music degree with Honours in Music Education and studied the violin under the tutelage of Professor Mel Martin, who helped her to further develop her technical and musical skills. Samantha is now passing on her knowledge to students of all ages in Hong Kong as a freelance violin instructor and continues to make music in band, chamber, and orchestral settings. Her regular recitals and orchestral participation, both at university and beyond continue to enrich her experience and proficiency. Samantha is dedicated to the continuing development of her students, as well as her own education and skills. Through a desire to expand her knowledge to become a highly qualified pedagogue, she continues to undertake training courses and additional qualifications. Samantha is currently under the mentorship of award-winning educator, Aniela Emma Chaudhuri FRSA, Director of Music at Six Cat Studios and Concertmaster at the SAR Philharmonic Orchestra, and is enrolled in the professional development program by ESTA Education to obtain the Certificate for Music Educators. Samantha is a keen community volunteer and is a member of the SAR Philharmonic Orchestra. She is also the violinist of the Alliance International Church Worship Team and has been invited to take on leadership and mentorship roles at community music events.
